My Background

I am a digital marketer and artist with an eye for design and passion for making impactful imagery.

 

Based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; Alex McDougall (They/ Them) moved to Halifax in 2013 to attend Dalhousie University graduating in 2018 with a major in technical theatre production and a minor in history with a certificate in art and visual culture.

Upon graduating they worked freelance in the live entertainment sector within Halifax from stage management to costume design. 

​

Outside of their theatre production work, Alex performs as a multimedia drag visual artist and show producer named X. Their work within drag is set primarily within the Halifax nightlife scene but they have gone on to produce various independent projects including fashion films, self portrait series and a one person theatrical digital drag show.

 

In addition to performing, X produces the bulk of their digital content having learned be a video producer, self portraiture, poster designer and photo editor in order to maintain their social media presences during the Covid19 lockdown. They returned to school  at NSCC earning a certificate in Digital Marketing with honours to combine their creative passions towards helping brands expand and define their visual digital footprint in an ever evolving market.
